Graduate Student Certificate Program –  An eight-month cohort program for Teaching Assistants wishing to prepare for a career in teaching and learning in higher education.

Mitacs

Mitacs is a national, not-for-profit organization that designs and delivers workshops and events in R&D management, professional skills development, and international research training to help graduate students achieve professional success.

Innovation OnBoard

Innovation OnBoard is the premiere start-up competition at UBC supported by entrepreneurship@UBC. A three-round experience is provided where students teams are able to practice an elevator pitch, boosting skills and a Dragons’ Den-style competition. Students are also encouraged to attend bi-weekly workshops on entrepreneurship, intellectual property, and pitching.

UBC Pathway to Professorship Program (P2P)

The Pathways to Professorship (P2P) program is designed to prepare PhD students for the rigours of applying to and holding, an academic position. This 12-session program will allow students to gain exposure to the requirements and responsibilities of being a professor.
